What is the TLM about?
I have created quiz using Google form for class IV students. The quiz is on the needs and wants for social studies subject. Children will attempt this quiz after the lesson delivered on this topic as a activity in the class. 

Benefits of TLM
The quiz is another tool which really benefit children a lot. It is one of the fun and exciting resources we can have where it kills boredom of the whole lesson. It helps children to get practices and stimulate interest in particular concept or topic.  It also helps them to prepare for upcoming test or exam. After attempting this quiz children will get the meaning of those two term need and want. Next they will know which things are called wants and needs. They will be in a position to tell the difference between needs and wants. 

Google form is amazing tool where you can create multiple copies of survey or quiz question. you can share to students or to other mails where they can attempt and see answer too. It is a free online tool and its easy to create and convenient to use.  


When it is used?
The quiz will be use in activity. After completing lesson on needs and wants children are going to attempt this quiz during activity. TLM is appropriate for activity because they get chance to revise and check how much they have understood the topic or the concept taught in the class.
 
How I have created quiz?
First I login from Gmail account and from there I login into Google Form. I typed the title as Quiz on Needs and Wants, then I clicked on plus sign to add questions for my quiz. I have choose multiple choice, drop down and short answer for my quiz. I have also inserted image in the questions and typed 10 questions for the quiz. I have also added answer and marks for each question where respondents will get to see the answer and mark after they completed the attempt for quiz in the end. In order to see only one attempt answer from a respondent I went to setting and clicked on 1 limit to response.

The quiz consist of 10 questions. Each question consist of 2 marks. The questions are multiple choice and short answer questions.
First children are asked to read question carefully before they direct attempt the questions. They can even see pictures to to answer the question.
Then only they are going to attempt or respond to questions.
They will not get second chance once they completed the quiz and submitted the answer.

Topic: Classification of Animals
Class: VI 
Subject: Science

What is the TLM about?
The TLM I have designed is a graphic organizer created from coggle.it by logging into my Gmail account. It is the popular mind mapping map you can have it for such type of topic which is relevant and comfortable to use. The TLM is about the classification of animals for class VI science.  The animals are classified into five categories that are reptiles, mammals, birds, fish, and amphibians. Under each categories there is mention of its features and characters and also cited some animals that fall in. This Graphic organizers will let children  easily grab those types of animals and its characters very fast. 

Objectives of this TLM
This TLM will help children to know the five categories of animals. Next they will understand the meaning of each type categories ( reptiles, birds, mammals, amphibians, and fish) If I cite examples of  'Bird', those animals that have feathers and wings to fly. Finally they will be able to identify some of the animals that falls under each categories. 

When it is used?
I will use this TLM in lesson development. In order to understand that animals are classified into five categories I will use above graphics organizers TLM in order to input those information about each type categories. I can even print few copies and provide individually or in groups to refer as notes.  This TLM is created in a simple and attractive form where children will get the idea where to categorize some of the animals during activity time.

How I designed this TLM?

First I logged into Google and typed Coggle.it and it displayed  from there I login from my Gmail to create this graphic organizer to present this topic in a simple and easy way.

Next in order to draw diagram I used its features such as I can add title and insert shapes to write topics. 

I can add another title by clicking  on the plus sign where it appear like a branch to line with another word.
Then I choose shapes for each categories like    reptiles, birds, mammals, fish and amphibians with different colours to recognize it.

I also choose style for my branch and coloured appropriately under each type. I also added image in each categories where children can see and know the type of animals under each categories.

After that I arranged those categories in sequence and web into simple and easy diagram and also removed  item that is not appropriate. So in that way finally designed graphic organizer with the help of coggle.it
So in next time I can login again from my Email to join coggle.it  to revisit and make changes in it. The pdf is automatic saved in coggle.it. I have downloaded pdf and image as well.

Instruction
This worksheet is printed and given in each group where each members are going to discuss for five minutes before they write answer in these worksheet.  There will be around 10 to 15 statements like stated above along with five types of animals in right column. 

In the above worksheet children will be asked to state true for each type of animal.
Examples in the first statement, 'It is cold -blooded' and there are five types of animals listed in each column. What children will do is give tick which ever type of animals characters is true for this statement. So the first statement  is true or match to fish, reptiles and amphibians because they are cold-blooded animals. 
After that they finished writing answer in the worksheet, they will be asked to exchange the sheet to other group and check their answers. In supplement to that I will evaluate and add on their answers in the whole class.

It is ppt voice recorded lesson. These TLM is about adjectives for grade 1. I have recorded voice to make children learn and understand the word adjective with some examples. 

When it is used?
The TLM I have designed will be used in the introduction part and also used in activity. In order to give the meaning of adjectives  I will show ppt where the meaning of adjectives is explained clearly with some examples through voice narration. Before going to activities this TLM will make children familiar with meaning and examples of adjectives. At the same time they will be able to recognize some of the adjectives words.

How I  prepared this TLM?
I have added a few slides and format the background with attractive colors. I have inserted diagrams and pictures from google to make children learn the concept of adjectives. I have removed the background of those pictures to give a clear and attractive image in the slide. Besides I have also applied animation and transaction to make ppt beautiful. I have adjusted the time and flow of slides in the presentation.  Finally I record voice into the ppt to final appealing ppt lesson.

Activity 
With the help of the above TLM, children will be ask to circle some adjectives in a worksheet provided below. The worksheet is provided to each student and certain time will be given to complete the task.
After they finished , we will see each others answers  and finally shared to class. Teacher will supplement and correct in whole class.

What the TLM is about?

Topic: Lets learn Colours

class: PP

Hello everyone! This is the second content-based TLM that I have prepared for class PP English subjects that is video lesson. It is about colours. children will see and learn different colours found in and arounds us( like in things and objects). This TLM will help children to get familiarize with  different colour where they are able to colour pictures as instructed by subject teacher in the activity. Moreover they will also learn how to say those colours correctly after listening to my voice. 


Where it is used?

I will first tell children that we will see and learn different colours. Following in the lesson development  I will let children to watch this video to make them familiar with different colours. So that children find easy in recognizing those colours in everywhere in our daily life. 

How I made? 

First, in order to teach different colours, I have collected different pictures and images of things from Google to represent the same colour such as red, green, blue, yellow, black, white, and orange. 
I have removed the background with the help of paint the 3D app to paste in slides. 
I have added around three to six different images to show that particular colour like green. 
For that, I even created tables of six columns with three rows to let in those displayed images.
I have added custom animation to each of the images to make them look beautiful and attractive to learn colours. Examples: Bulb will grow and shrink, Mango will move, the rose will teeter, etc.
I have edited and worked on the effect option and timing for a smooth presentation without mess or disturbances. 
I have added different attractive background scenes to let children with curious in learning. besides, I also looked into colour combinations between pictures with background scenes.
I have recorded voice to apply live to my video (XRecorder app.)

I will let the children work individually. I will provide worksheets to each child. In their worksheet, the children will be asked to colour pictures with different colours as instructed by the teacher.
For example, the teacher asks the student to colour the cat red. Colour the dog black and sky blue or apple green something like that the activity will be conducted in the classroom. Children are going to follow the instruction in sequence and completed the colouring of images. The process will continue till the last pictures so that they learn or becomes familiar with colours along with the teacher's instructions.

ICT integration of TLM

Hello! Today I am going to blog on one of the content-based materials that I have designed by integrating ICT. In the 21st century world, ICT has dominated and played a crucial role in the teaching and learning process. ICT has made teaching so easy and learning so productive. With this realization of ICT benefits, I have designed TLM based on ppt video. 


When this TLM can be used?
Topic: Addition
Class: 1

The TLM I have designed will be used in the introduction part. In order to give the concept of addition, I will let children watch my video lesson. From this video lesson, the child will be able to add two numbers easily and understand the meaning of addition. It will also benefit children in solving some questions of addition in worksheets. These video lessons will demonstrate how to add so that children will learn very fast. This TLM is going to benefit teachers as it gives a clear concept of addition through ppt video and it's attractive where children get excited to learn.

How I prepared this TLM?

The ppt I have prepared is about the addition for grade one. I have added a few slides and format the background with attractive colors. I have inserted shapes and pictures from google to make children learn the concept of addition. I have removed the background of those pictures to give a clear and attractive image in the slide. Besides I have also applied animation to make ppt beautiful. Next, I recorded the voice in the slide and converted it into a video with help of the XRecorder app.

With the help of the above, TLM, children will be able to add some questions provided in the worksheet.
Children are provided with a word sheet that consists of pictures, shapes, and objects.
They will add those pictures, shapes, and objects to get the total. They will solve individually within the given time. After that one of them will share the answer and will correct it through whole-class discussion.

Introduction

I am Sonam Zangmo from Drujeygang under the Dagana district. Since my parents stayed in Dagapela I have completed my primary school there and finally completed class twelve from Drujeygang Higher secondary school. So I called this place 'Dagapela' my home because I have spent my childhood days with my best friends. I had the best and beautiful memories with them. It still refreshes me when I go back and meet those friends.

I spent my leisure time watching YouTubes and movies to do away with my boredom. At times I listen to melodies songs that will relax and calm my mind. Sometimes I read books which help me a lot to update with rich words. Reading is a good habit and it's my pleasure to read once a day. I am also interested draw and scatch some pictures of beautiful landscapes. Besides, I do love to paint and craft those papers to create flowers, shapes, and animals.  

Some of my other college friends used to question me about my ambition. I joined this Paro college of education as per my decision. I thought and realized this could be the best platform to update myself with lots of information. On top of that, I love to teach and want to learn from children too. I wanted to experience teachers' life which I believed one of the most challenging and interactive work. 

I did my teaching practice in Tashigatshel Primary school under Chukha district. I and my friend Tashi Tenzin went down there and it was a successful completion. We met the Principal and mentors at the beginning to know each other and to make ourselves very comfortable. I had a wonderful time with senior teachers. I have experienced and challenged to complete the teaching practice. I did housemaster and natural club coordinator to conduct activities in the school. I taught class four (A and B) and six sections.

what I have learned and gained from this college including teaching practice. When I first joined this college I was not confident and faced difficulty in the crowd. I hardly approached module tutors to clear my doubts. But now I am confident to speak in the classroom and I approach to clarify my doubts.  I think I can notice my own progress in learning like I started to read more books than before and more interactive in group works. Teaching practice has given me an opportunity to explore and learn till our last breath. I learned the importance of collaboration and motivation towards children. I realized teaching is one of the best professions ever.
